Feeling like a Crafty Bastard!

I hope you are enjoying the end of your summer. Barefoot Czarina is excited to announce that we have been accepted to participate in the Washington CityPaper's annual Crafty Bastards show on Sept. 28. Fun!

This year, we have been working hard to find more environmentally sustainable materials to use in our jewelry designs. We have been scouring flea markets and trolling Ebay to find the coolest secondhand and vintage items to incorporate into our designs (because there is really nothing more "green" than secondhand and vintage items). The effort is still a work in progress, but we think it is going well . . . think leather, metal, feathers and chain. Ooo la la. Check back here for a preview before the Crafty Bastards show.

And although our on-line store has closed (boo hoo), we will soon be launching our space on Etsy (much less expensive to run). Watch this space for an announcement. Hope to see you in Sept. in Adams Morgan.

Greetings Friends and Jewelry Lovers! Happy New Year (and Year of the Rat!)

Barefoot Czarina has been on a very needed petite pause, resting our little jewelry-making hands.

But, we are excited about some new, art nouveau-inspired, designs bubbling in our heads. They will break through soon, we are sure.
